Museum of London
Covering over 2000 years of London's history, the Museum of London houses more than a million objects which are aimed to inspire a passion for London. Permanent exhibitions include a 1940's air-raid shelter, a Georgian prison cell and an exhibition on the great Fire of London. There is also a Roman gallery which includes objects from recent archeological excavations in London, and a history of human occupation of the London area from around 500,000 BC until the Roman invasion in AD 43.
