Opening in London in October 1985, Les Miserables is a stunning adaptation of Victor Hugo's epic masterpiece, that follows the trials and tribulations of Jean Valjean. Les Miserables has been performed in 28 countries, 192 cities and sung in 17 different languages. Released on parole after 19 years on the chain gang, Valjean finds that the yellow ticket-of-leave he must, by law, display condemns him to be an outcast. He decides to start his life anew, but will fate allow him to?
